Polymer Burn Off Furnace

The polymer burnoff furnace system provides a simple, cost-effective way to clean tooling and other components that are coated with polymers and other organic compounds during the manufacturing process. The furnace vaporizes the residual polymer, cleansing the tooling for continued use. Temperature range up to 1250°F.

The polymer burnoff furnace brings the workpiece up to the temperature necessary to vaporize the polymer—typically in the range of 900 to 1000°F. As the polymer vaporizes, an air/steam injection system ensures that there is sufficient oxygen for complete combustion while preventing exothermic overheating. The exhaust effluents, some of which may be toxic, pass through a secondary chamber incorporating a high temperature after burner or catalytic converter where they are thermally oxidized to safe levels.

Although polymer burnoff furnaces may be purchased separately, most users install a complete system. Complete systems include a burnoff furnace, afterburner/catalytic converter, cooling chamber, load storage table, unidirectional transfer car, and work grids
