Transfer Ladles

An energy efficient, cost-saving method of transporting molten metal to casting stations.

Save energy and cut costs
MPH offers the most advanced energy-saving transfer ladles available. It's a ladle capable of transferring molten metal relatively long distances while maintaining temperature. No standby heat source is required for preheating.

Energy efficient
The refractory combination employed in the construction of the ladle and the use of an insulated cover minimizes heat loss through the shell while hot metal is being transferred. This low heat loss results in the ability to actually lower the temperatures of the metal in the central melter.

Additional energy can be saved during standby, There is no need to use gas or electricity to keep the ladle hot. The refractory has excellent resistance to thermal shock.

Negligible metal loss
Since the ladle is never overheated, it does not generate any oxides. Metal losses are reduced since neither the central melter nor the holding furnaces need to make up for lost temperature.

Convenient charging
The lift-and-swing cover opens to expose the entire inside for charging. Maximum metal level can be observed easily.

Reduces downtime
When properly used, this ladle eliminates the need to wait for the holding furnace to "recover" temperature lost during hot metal transfer. Nor is it necessary to wait until the ladle is preheated before it can be used.

Low maintenance
In normal use, oxides do not adhere to the refractory walls or the ladle. It can be skimmed easily. The refractory can be patched easily when required.
