The new VersaTenn V for Environmental Test Chambers includes
the latest software developments in environmental test chamber
control with a user-friendly touchscreen interface
that makes programming and diagnostics simple.
The VersaTenn V controller for Environmental Test Chambers
incorporates the capabilities to take environmental test into
the 21st century and beyond. The controller includes communication
capabilities for the Global Factory of the future,
where data is gathered from around the globe via the Internet,
from around the factory floor via Ethernet, and from around
the test lab via IEEE 488 and RS-232.
Based on VersaTenns Proven
Logic. . .
The VersaTenn V Touch Interface Control System for Environmental
Test Chambers is a microprocessorbased two-channel proprietary
instrument, developed specifically for environmental test
chambers. This latest design in the VersaTenn Controller series
employs features that will maximize the capabilities of your
test chamber.
It is precisely designed to take complete command of the
chambers conditioning systems. Logic circuits automatically
select heating/cooling (Channel 1), and humidity (Channel
2) modes as required, with total programming of temperature
and humidity versus time. Up to six optional event outputs
may be provided.
A 100 ohm platinum RTD is used for temperature measurement.
A dry capacitance type sensor is used for humidity measurement.
To support global deployment, the VersaTenn V (VT V) can support
multiple languages with its built-in on-line Help and Wizard
systems. This product offers end users and their organizations
a high performance controller with advanced programming and
communications capabilities.
RS-232 data communications is standard.
Program storage is only limited by Flash Disk storage. You
can download and upload these files to a 3½ floppy
drive mounted on the left front side of the chamber.
The VT V utilizes Microsofts advanced Windows
CE operating system. Windows CE is a compact modular OS that
gives the VersaTenn V a Windows graphical user interface,
and provides powerful communication capabilities.
A floppy disc drive provides the VersaTenn V with an extra
dimension in chamber control and data logging, where you can
download/upload your chamber profiles, and log chamber data
with ease.
File format is PC compatible and program, logging, and calibration
files can all be exchanged with the desktop. File names are
Win 95 compatible, so meaningful names can be used.
The eight soft buttons at the bottom of the screen on the
cover are the essential roadmaps to total system control.
At the touch of your finger, you can quickly switch between
screens and access programming, setup, and diagnostic screens,
which provides total chamber control for any application.
Versatility is what makes the VersaTenn V truly enjoyable
to operate. You dont have to refer to your manual every
time you wish to change a parameter, or to view realtime process
values. These values are displayed numerically.
Navigation and control buttons on every screen permit instant
access to chamber functions and options.
VersaTen V
Screen Navigation Keys

The VersaTenn V offers the latest touch screen technology.
Incorporating Soft Keys and the state-of-the-art multi-tasking
capabilities of Windows CE the VT V provides a unique,
friendly and powerful user interface. The bottom row of Soft
Screen Keys below the LCD provides immediate access to each
of the eight screens. This gives the VersaTenn V its powerful
control capabilities. Switching from one screen to another
is easy and natural. While entering information on one screen,
you can switch to another screen to view a setting or parameter.
You can then return to the previous screen just where you
left it.
