Product details

Gruenberg dry heat sterilizers are used for decontamination and dry heat sterilization of all forms of microbial life, such as bacteria, viruses, and spores. Gruenberg dry heat sterilizers use convection airflow and dry heat delivered to the items being sterilized. The heat is absorbed by the item being sterilized and eventually it reaches the proper temperature needed to achieve sterilization. Operating temperatures and times vary depending on the items being decontaminated or sterilized and what the customer is actively looking to kill, i.e. bacteria, viruses, fungi, spores, etc. For each, there are various methods to validate the efficacy.

Press Release: Dry Heat Sterilization on PPE and N95 Masks

Stony Brook University recently released an article on their research into the use of dry heat sterilizers for disinfecting N95 masks for re-use. Pilot studies were conducted in a Gruenberg dry heat sterilizer to determine if there was degradation of the N95 masks after several rounds of dry heat sterilization. Results from the testing were positive, showing that the heat treatment did not cause visible structural damage and had no effect on the straps. Click on the link below to read the full article.

Article: Dry Heat Ovens Can Effectively Disinfect N95 Masks

Thermal Processing Magazine recently spoke with our team about how they have been working with the New York research hospital, Stony Brook, to prove the efficacy of dry heat sterilization on N95 masks for re-use. The article compares different sterilization efforts and why Stony Brook considered testing dry heat sterilization. Click the link below to read the full article.
